Summary

A systematic approach to the organization of the different health-care criteria that have been used in quality assessment internal studies at the Clinical Hospital in Barcelona (Spain) and the SAGESSA Health Care Group (Spain) is proposed. The report also presents a way to formalize these criteria using normalized cost functions or layered partial orders, so that they can be considered (alone or combined) by induction algorithms to build comprehensible and correct decision structures.
