Summary
The talk will present an overview of Robotics Projects partially funded by European Committee, National Italian Ministry of University and Research, and Private Companies. The central point of the talk will be the “Mechanics of Machines and Robots”, and how the mechanical background helped us to solve hardware and software robotic problems. In a second part of the presentation, the ongoing projects will be fast presented. The talk aims at proposing novel points for discussion and further joint collaborations among Politecnico di
Torino (Italy) and University Rovira i Virgili (Spain).
Short Bio:
Giovanni Gerardo Muscolo is currently an Assistant Professor of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering with Politecnico di Torino, Italy. He received the M.Sc. degree from University of Pisa (Italy), in 2008, and the Ph.D. degree from University of Genova (Italy), in 2014, all in mechanical engineering.
He was a Postoctoral Research Associate of University of Genova (Italy), Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna (Italy), and Italian Institute of Technology (Italy). His current research interests include Mechanics of Machines and Robots (Legged Robots, Exoskeletons, Sensors, Actuators), Machine Design, Mathematical and Physical Modelling, Multibody System Dynamics, Sport Biomechanics.
